Tesla (TSLA) is currently delivering electric vehicles at a rate of 1,000 per day in North America, in a bid to achieve record deliveries this quarter, Electrek reported on Friday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

The electric car company is counting on quick sales in the North American market to achieve the record. Electrek previously reported that Tesla is aiming to deliver between 33,000 and 36,000 vehicles in June in North America to surpass the record of 90,700 cars delivered in Q4 last year.

Tesla is also offering incentives to employees in order to motivate them to reach the goal, according to Electrek.

Almost 7,000 deliveries are planned over the next seven days, and even more last-minute deliveries are expected over the last week of Q2 as buyers try to avail the $3,750 federal tax credit on Tesla vehicles, which will be reduced by half to $1,875 on July 1, according to the report.
